Technology is having a great impact on the efficiency and effectiveness of the hospital supply chain. We had a quick chat with Mark Brommeyer, Manager Supply Chain at the National E-Health Transition Authority (nehta) about the most fundamental changes for the sector.
What do you see as most exciting change or development happening in the healthcare procurement and supply chain management sector?
Mark Brommeyer: We are getting a better understanding and application of electronic supply chain tools and procurement solutions. This leads to increased value and efficiency across the healthcare supply chain.
What are you most looking forward to at the 2013 National Hospital Procurement Conference?
Mark Brommeyer: I am looking forward to meeting healthcare supply chain professionals from across the board – public, private, suppliers, legal, consultants, researchers and industry bodies.
What are you hoping to learn or gain from the Conference?
Mark Brommeyer: I would like to gain contemporary and pragmatic insights, and am also looking for directions and proven solutions that I can apply straight back in the workplace.
