Informa Australia and the ARA are pleased to announce Light Rail 2018. On the back of the highly successful Light Rail 2017, which saw over 200 attendees in a record-breaking testament to the Australian light rail renaissance, Light Rail 2018 is set to be the standout industry event of the coming year. Located in the heart of Sydney at the Sofitel Wentworth on 1 and 2 March, 2018, this year’s conference will focus on light rail as a driver of change, urban renewal and development under the theme: Light Rail: Transforming Our Cities.

Join us in Sydney this coming March for a comprehensive 2-day programme appropriate for stakeholders of every level across the light rail sector. The conference will feature case studies and updates from projects both active and proposed across Australia – alongside detailed technical discussions, project financing analysis, international insights and expert commentary from government, operators and industry bodies.

Light Rail Site Tour

Friday 2nd March, 3:15pm – 5:45pm

The site tour will visit two of the most significant infrastructure sites of the CBD and South East Light Rail Project, including Moore Park, and the Randwick Stabling Yard.

At Moore Park you will have the opportunity to view the location of the new light rail tunnel, and the construction of the tunnel portal and a light rail stop outside the Moore Park stadiums. We will then visit the new Randwick Stabling Yard which, on completion, will house 60 Citadis X05 light rail vehicles in 30 coupled sets. Also located in the Yard are the new Operations Control Centre, vehicle wash and sanding sheds, and one of the 10 substations that will power the light rail. You will also have an opportunity to see our first light rail vehicles.

All attendees are required to bring their own PPE. Mandatory items are:
– Steel capped boots
– High Visibility Orange Vest
