Whistleblowing new rules, new policies, new vision
Whistleblower protection has been highlighted significantly in recent years with many high profile cases illustrating why it is extremely important to have clarity around the laws that govern whistle-blowing protections in Australia. Organisations should have a clear understanding of these policies to effectively manage the person placed in this position, that is forced to speak out within their organisation or against their organisation.
This programme will highlight 6 important areas of research that have informed us on what is best practice and why effective management of whistleblowing activity both internally and externally is crucial.
Looking at the value of the whistle-blower to an organisation, their stake-holders and the community at large we ask what can be done to change perceptions and remove the stigma associated with speaking out and why effective management is as important as speaking out.
This programme will address governance improvement, compliance and regulation around whistleblowing activity giving the participant much information to evaluate their current processes. It will provide the opportunity to review current standards to effectively address issues around culture to ensure you effectively manage someone who decides to speak out.
