Established in Australia in 2006, Vossloh Australia purchased the railway products division of Thompsons Kelly & Lewis, which has a 150-year history in the railway industry. To this day, Vossloh’s Headquarters and one production site are still located on the same grounds in Castlemaine with expansion and relocation to take place 40km up the road in Epsom where a state-of-the-art new facility has been built.

VCA are leading experts in turnout design and manufacture. Our scope of services includes complex turnout design for dual gauge rail and diamonds, through to performing Wheel Rail Interfacing and Finite Element Analysis.

Vossloh has 2 turnout production facilities within Australia, one in Castlemaine, Victoria which supplies the east coast and South Australia, and one in Kewdale in WA, which supplies the west coast of Australia. From a global standpoint, Vossloh has successfully supplied networks with Turnouts and special track work in the sectors of High Speed, Heavy Haul, Metro and Tramway. With manufacturing and design facilities in over 30 countries that supply various rail related componentry to over 90 countries worldwide. Vossloh is perfectly placed to provide insight and consultation as Australia move to implement High Speed Rail.
