A preliminary announcement for:
Road Safety 2011
8th & 9th March 2011 – Crowne Plaza, Darling Harbour

Lloyd's List DCN is proud to announce its 2nd Road Safety Summit in Sydney, March 8th & 9th 2011

In the last decade, 17,268 people were killed and 220,000 were admitted to hospital with serious injuries as a result of road crashes – at an estimated cost to the community of $17 billion each year.

Ensuring the safest possible drivers, using the safest possible vehicles, on the safest possible roads is a common goal for stakeholders in the Australian road network.

By bringing together transport operators, industry associations, academics, and safety professionals, Road Safety 2011 will facilitate an open exchange on current policy and the future planning priorities towards achieving optimum safety out on the road - and prevent the next serious accident before it happens!

"Road trauma is one of the major public health problems facing this country"
