Rail Careers 2010Collaboratively driving rail workforce development |

Plans are in place to dramatically expand Australia’s rail infrastructure in the next decade, but the pool of talent available to deliver the projects is shrinking.
The Rail Industry Skills Council’s report, A Rail Revolution, estimates the industry must increase its workforce within the next two to five years to avoid bottlenecking vital infrastructure advancements.
In the current labour market skilled workers can afford to be more opportunistic and employee commitment is not purely achieved by upping salaries. This means HR professionals and management must apply proven and practical techniques in recruiting and retaining their staff.
Rail Careers 2010 aims to unearth what the rail industry is doing for itself when it comes to employment in the industry, identifying the edge it has over competitors and formulating the best possible techniques to sell rail careers to target labour pools.
The aim of the conference is to collaboratively formulate a plan of attack to get major rail works underway and delivered on time. This is a two day event focused on helping you find strategies to overcome your staffing demands in the short and the long term. Make the most of this in-depth time with other professionals in your industry.
