13th Annual Queensland Transport Infrastructure Summit
21st – 22nd July 2010 | Brisbane Marriott Hotel

“[The population] challenge is driving a building program unparalleled anywhere in the country and without precedent in our history… To give you a sense of the magnitude – it’s a $7bn investment this year which will build the equivalent of 38 Melbourne Eastlinks and or 37 of Sydney’s M1”
"Address to the National Press Club" Anna Bligh MP, Premier of Queensland, 04 September 2009

Queensland has the largest per capital infrastructure building program of any state. Fuelled by a strong population growth of 2.5%, the state’s $124 billion, 20-year infrastructure program has seen a record number projects fast-tracked to rethink, reshape and reengineer the necessary transport capacity to deliver this growth. Across the state, it’s an exciting time as the multibillion dollar pieces of an increasingly complex, expanding and expensive transport network fit into place to meet the burgeoning export and urban demands of Queensland.

We are pleased to announce that confirmed speakers to date include:

  • The Rt Hon Cr Campbell Newman, Lord Mayor of Brisbane, Brisbane City Council
  • David Goodwin, President, Chamber of Commerce & Industry Queensland, CCIQ and Managing Director, Interport Cargo Services
  • Chris Stanley, Alliance Manager, The Horizon Alliance
  • Everald Compton, Chairman, ATEC
  • Luke Franzmann, Project Director, Cross River Rail, Department of Transport and Main Roads, QLD
  • Arthur Stamatoudis, Assistant Project Director, Cross River Rail, Department of Transport and Main Roads, QLD

Plus an exciting additional option for this year ……………………

qtpb.gif The impact of the sale of Government assets on transport and logistics is by far the biggest issue in the industry at the moment and in response to this, we have extended the program to feature a dedicated Queensland Transport Asset Privatisation Briefing Day on the 20th July
