The Australian Trade Commission – Austrade – is the Australian Government’s trade and investment development agency. We help Australian businesses of all sizes, across all sectors, to succeed in international trade and investment. Our job is to advance Australia’s international trade and investment interests by providing information, advice and services.
The Business Council of Mongolia (BCM) was founded in the fall of 2007 to promote increased trade and investment in Mongolia. BCM represents all investors in Mongolia, domestic and foreign, on business climate issues. Advocacy efforts with the Government, Ministry and Parliamentary officials on issues vital to investors in Mongola are of utmost importance.
BCM holds monthly meetings for Members only, typically on the fourth Monday of each month, at 5 PM in the Open Society Forum in UB. Our working groups [Tax, Legislative, Food & Beverage, Technical Vocational Education Training (TVET)], and Capital Markets assist in analyzing business practice concerns and in formulating advocacy strategies. The BCM NewsWire is sent regularly via email to Members only. In addition we send occasional press releases and updates to our activities.
Our mission is:
- to advocate for increased trade and investment in Mongolia;
- to serve as a forum for dialogue with the Government of Mongolia, the public and members on the important business climate issues;
- to work for reform of laws, policies and practices that inhibit economic growth;
- to publicly represent the views of investors in Mongolia’s economy who share our values.
