The Australian Journal of Mining is pleased to announce the upcoming Land Access for Mining and Petroleum Conference. The forum is being developed in partnership with the Department of Employment, Economic Development and Innovation (DEEDI) Queensland and will be held at the Brisbane Marriott Hotel on August 16th and 17th, 2010.
The event is set in light of the raft of reforms to land access management, strategic cropping land, coal seam gas regulation in Queensland and major legal precedents in other states such as the Supreme Court ruling on BHP’s Caroona tenement. As a consequence of these rapid movements, a high level of confusion reigns in industry and we hope that this forum might help to provide clarity and insight on land access issues.
This new conference will provide a channel for key regulators, land access managers, landholder groups and legal experts to share information and strategies for dealing with all aspects of tenure approval and management.
