Training Terms & Conditions

By registering for a course you enter into an agreement, on these terms and conditions, between Informa Australia Pty Ltd and the registered individual or participant (“Attendee”).

Registration and Payment
To register for places on a course, please click the Registration link on the webpage of your chosen event. Upon completion of a valid registration, an invoice for the registration fee, and confirmation advice will be emailed to the Attendee within 2 business days. Payment may be made by credit card or EFT and must be allocated to the invoice prior to the event or admittance will not be permitted.

If you are registering on behalf of another person it is your responsibility to ensure that the Attendee is aware of these terms and accepts them, and by completing the registration you are warranting that you have made the Attendee aware of these terms and that they have accepted them.

Registration Fee includes:
Entrance to the relevant course, refreshment breaks, lunch and comprehensive course notes. Please note travel, accommodation and all other expenses are not included.

Cancellation Policy & Substitutions:
Cancellations must be advised in writing at least 15 days prior to the event. An administration fee of $500.00 + GST will be incurred for cancellations. A refund will not be considered if an Attendee fails to attend or cancels within 15 days prior to the event.

A substitution may be made prior to the course should the registered Attendee not be available to attend. Please email making reference to the Attendee currently registered and provide the name, job title, email, telephone, company name & business address of the Attendee that will be attending as the replacement.

Course confirmation will be advised and Informa reserves the right to cancel, alter the content and/or Instructors/ facilitators on any program. Registration fees paid will be fully refunded for cancelled events.

Informa reserves the right to cancel the whole or part of a course, or alter the content and/or speakers on any program. Registration fees paid will be fully refunded for wholly cancelled training courses. Informa is not responsible for travel or accommodation or any other expenses if an event is cancelled (whether in whole or part).

Marketing and promotion
Promotional or marketing materials may not be distributed at the courses except by course trainers and sponsors in accordance with their trainer or sponsor agreement or otherwise with the consent of Informa. Attendees violating this policy will be required to leave the course.

Informa reserves the right to prohibit entry to any Attendee to an event, or eject any Attendee from an event, based on behaviour deemed unlawful, inappropriate or offensive by Informa staff and/or its agents and others working under its authority.

Intellectual property
All intellectual property rights in and to the course content and all materials distributed at or in connection with the course are owned by Informa and/or course presenters and trainers. Attendees may not use or reproduce or allow anyone to use or reproduce any materials distributed at or in connection with the course for any reason without the prior written permission of Informa.

When an Attendee is registered for a course, we collect certain personal information about them including their name, title, organisation, mobile phone number, email address and business address. We may collect further personal information from the Attendee, including their photograph, during the course. We will deal with this personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, a full copy of which can be accessed here.

By registering for the course, an Attendee’s personal information may be made available to parties directly related to the event, including venue staff, speakers, and course trainers.

By registering for the event, Attendees consent to Informa and/or its employees, agents and contractors taking and using video and/or photographs containing their image or likeness. Attendees acknowledge that Informa may use these images for promotional (including online), news, research and/or educational purposes without payment or other compensation.

Limitation of liability
Except as required by law:

  • (a) Informa’s total liability in respect of any aspect of the course, any materials provided or offered at or in relation to the course, or these terms, whether in contract, tort or otherwise (including any negligent act or omission), is limited to the amount paid by or on behalf of the Attendee to Informa to attend the course;
  • (b) neither Informa nor its trainers shall be liable for any indirect, special or consequential costs, damages or losses arising from the course or otherwise in connection with these terms;

Neither Informa nor its trainers accept any responsibility or liability for reliance by the Attendee or any person on any aspect of any information provided at the course.
