This February, New Zealander Peter Reidy took over the reins at KiwiRail from Jim Quinn. Mr Reidy, who previously held the position of Chief Operating Officer Infrastructure Services and a number of different leadership roles at Downer EDI will continue to implement KiwiRail’s transformation strategy initiated by his predecessor. Attendees at the 2014 NZ Rail conference, to be held on the 17-18 June in Auckland will be able to hear about the next phase in the transformation program from the CEO himself.
Mr Reidy will also be joining industry leaders such as Ernst Zollner, Regional Director – Auckland & Northland (Designate), NZ Transport Agency; Councillor Andy Forster, Chair – Transport & Urban Development Commitee, Wellington City Council and many more at the industry round table in celebration of 150 years of rail in NZ. The panel will also discuss the responsibilities of those leading the industry into the future of ensuring the future infrastructure facilitates the effective and efficient development of NZ.
