Mike Nazroo is Vice President Commercial for Australia – West for ConocoPhillips.
Mike graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Mining from the Camborne school of Mines in England and began his career with the company in 1989 as a reservoir engineer in Woking, England. Following that he spent more than 10 years in operational and commercial roles in Aberdeen, Scotland and Stavanger, Norway before moving to Perth in 2000 to take up his current position.
Mike has been responsible for commercial activities for high profile LNG projects including a two year stint at Australia Pacific LNG in Queensland. His current focusses include the Darwin LNG plant and upstream activity in the Bonaparte, Browse and Canning Basins.
Mike is responsible for structuring, negotiating and optimising LNG and product sales contracts from Bayu-Undan and DLNG; Providing economic analysis for business planning; Commercialising new upstream developments; along with pursuing and executing farm outs and acquisitions including the recent PetroChina deal involving equity in the Canning and Browse Basins.
Mr Nazroo will be speaking at the upcoming South East Asia Australia Offshore 2013 conference in Darwin. He will be giving the SEAAOC Opening Address titled “Looking at the Key Issues affecting today’s LNG Market” on Day 1 of the conference.
