JP Oosthuizen studied Metallurgical Engineering and began his career in 1991 at Vanderbilpark Steel Works in South Africa.
He has also worked at Sishen Iron Ore Mine, Thabazimbi Iron Ore Mine and at Zincor Smelter and Refinery.
Since 2009, JP has been involved in establishing the Exxaro iron ore commodity business at Exxaro Business Growth.
He is currently active in the development of the Mayoko Iron Ore business in the Republic of the Congo as well as the commercialisation of the Ultra High Dense Medium Separation Processing Technology (a beneficiation and characterisation technology used for the upgrade of low grade ore resources) which has been developed by Exxaro.
