Key Learning Objectives
- Understand the current and emerging trends in next generation wireless broadband systems
- Understand the trade-offs between capacity and coverage, coverage and frequency, spectrum and network system costs
- Deployment economics of various wireless and wireline broadband technologies
- How wireless broadband will impact the ICT landscape
- Understand the evolution of the core transport and switching network
- Learn about the emerging technologies shaping the wireless future
About the Course
There has been lots of buzz about 4G wireless. Its pending arrival, heralding a new era of pervasive high-speed mobile broadband connectivity, threatens to disrupt the broadband access landscape. But is the hype justified or is it simply overzealous marketing? Does any of the current crop of so called “4G” contenders really measure up to the promise of 4G?
Using an innovative graphical presentation approach and inclusive delivery style, this unique 1 day course defines and compares the various 4G Wireless Broadband technologies and demystifies the myths and confusion surrounding this much-misused terminology.
Although the course uses PowerPoint, the instructors enhance the audience’s experience with extensive use of audio visual aids and animation to convey complex concepts in an easily understandable form.
Who Will Benefit
Participants can range from all levels within an organisation, depending on their need to learn about the up and coming technologies in telecommunications. All sectors that are affected by wireless technologies would benefit from this training.
Job titles include fund managers, analysts and venture capitalists, legal practitioners, government, construction and infrastructure builders, transport, energy and water utilities, regulators, telecom network operators and ISPs
