A survey conducted by the chamber — revealed the State’s resources industries directly contributed $1.63 billion to the Goldfields-Esperance economy in 2020-21. The survey reported the sector directly provided more than 3300 full-time local jobs… Those member companies spent an additional $1.18 billion supporting 895 business, 131 community organisations in the region, and all 10 local governments in the Goldfields-Esperance region… the sector’s contributions were vital to the Federal Government’s funding for healthcare, childcare, education and infrastructure, as well as other important projects in WA
