How do we ensure we are delivering the right workforce and leveraging multidisciplinary teams to ensure better patient care? How do we need to rethink facilities design and planning for new models?   • The Thomas Embling Hospital is Victoria’s secure forensic mental health hospital providing care and treatment for people living with a serious mental illness in, or at risk of entering, the justice system.
  • As one of the recommendations of the Royal Commission into Victoria’s Mental Health system the Victorian Government is investing $515.7m to deliver 82 additional beds at the hospital, including a 34-bed dedicated women’s precinct.
  • Forensicare will provide an overview of the project and how it will transform delivery of forensic mental health care, and how this project is be delivered without compromising safe and quality care as the hospital continues operating.
