Workshop

Post-Conference Workshop | Beyond Coverage: Building Strategic Partnerships That Transform Member Health and Business Performance

9am-12pm, Wednesday 25th June 2025, Crown Melbourne

Workshop leader: Phil Hayes-St Clair, Founder & Coach, PHILHSC

The future of health insurance lies beyond claims and compliance, it’s in the power of partnerships. This interactive workshop equips health insurance leaders with a modern framework to identify, evaluate, and scale strategic partnerships that improve member health outcomes, enhance brand loyalty, and unlock commercial growth. Drawing from real-world case studies and a practical toolkit, delegates will walk away with the clarity, confidence, and capability to turn innovative partnership ideas into results.

Workshop Purpose
This half-day workshop covers how private health insurers can shift from transactional relationships to value-based partnerships. Whether with tech companies, healthcare providers, government, or startups, the opportunities to create impact are growing, but only if approached with a clear strategy. Through interactive exercises, group challenges, and expert insights, delegates will learn how to assess opportunities, structure win-win agreements, and accelerate execution.

By the end of this workshop, delegates can expect to learn and take away:

  • Understand the 6-part IDEAL+ framework to guide every partnership decision
  • Learn how to evaluate potential partners for alignment and impact
  • Know how to communicate partnership value to internal stakeholders
  • Have a draft of a live partnership opportunity mapped against the framework
  • Gain tools they can implement immediately within their organisations

Who will benefit from the workshop

  • Strategy, Innovation & Growth Leads
  • Partnership Managers & Executives
  • Chief Commercial, Customer, and Health Officers
  • Product & Program Directors responsible for value-based care or ecosystem development
  • Any leader tasked with improving outcomes while managing rising costs

About the workshop leader:
Phil Hayes-St Clair is a business partnerships expert and executive coach with over 20 years of experience building and investing in companies across healthcare, biotechnology, aerospace, and e-commerce. Phil has a strong track record of working with Fortune 500 CEOs and entrepreneurs to design and reset strategic partnerships that accelerate growth, secure supply chains, and unlock long-term value.
