The CT1 is a new form of high performance spiral technology that has demonstrated exceptionally high recoveries on a number of different mineral sand feed types in rougher and scavenger duties. Comparative testwork has been conducted and results of traditional spirals performance versus CT spiral performance have been compared. Testwork outcomes indicate that the CT spiral is to be the game changer in gravity separation technology.

Titaniferous magnetite hard rock deposits are common throughout the world. Previously they have been processed to recover vanadium using the standard salt roast process however the economics based on vanadium alone are marginal. Of recent times, various groups have endeavoured to produce titanium pigment and vanadium from these ores using hydrometallurgical process routes. The technical challenges are significant. However, the potential to produce titanium pigment from these ores is approaching technical and commercial feasibility.
