Large Scale Solar + Storage Conference

Investing in a sustainable solar future.

27-28 November 2017 | The Grace Hotel, Sydney

Book Now Download Brochure

overview

Large scale solar PV generation was at zero in 2008 and it is now 265 MW. AEMO is predicting it will rise to 11,000 MW “over the next several years”. In a time of unprecedented change within the industry, Informa is delighted to announce our 3rd Large Scale Solar event. Organised in partnership with Reneweconomy, this event will bring together leading experts to discuss the advances and challenges within solar and storage in Australia.

2:15 pm

This year has seen exceptional growth in utility scale solar activity in
Australia, but only a few projects are developed through to
completion. In terms of commissioning, 2018 will be unprecedented.
The project planning, financing and contracting work being executed
today will lead to capacity growth and a surge in M&A activity next
year. Can we deliver and will it lead to value creation? The step
change in activity will strain the sector like never before, bumps in the
road will be inevitable. We highlight the upward and downward
pressures on project costs.

Our pipeline of potential solar projects exceeds 16GW, and it is
growing, fast. Here we look at the investment and growth by state,
players and service providers. We outline the challenges facing the
industry in 2018 and risks to delivery.
