The 2022 IHMA Congress will focus on the innovation, technology, collaboration and resilience that will shape a better, safer future.
The pandemic resulted in unprecedented change and highlighted that our maritime future will not look like our maritime past. While focusing on returning to business as usual, industry and harbour masters are undergoing an exciting ‘sea change’ in preparing for a future of new opportunities. To transform and advance, policies, regulations and capabilities must be resilient, while also supporting a safe, sustainable and environmentally responsible sector. As new technologies emerge and industry drives forward innovative solutions in autonomy and emissions reduction, now is also the time to take action to ensure the wellbeing of our people and create the diverse workforce needed in the coming decades.
This time of change is also one of potential and while the economic picture may change, the essential role of harbour masters and the maritime industry will only continue to grow.
Join us in Kuala Lumpur for the 2022 IHMA Congress to collectively shape and ensure the success of the port and maritime sector for generations to come.
Addressing the theme ‘Shaping for a better, safer future’ the 2022 IHMA Congress is an unparalleled opportunity for maritime businesses to showcase their services and for port marine professionals from around the world to network, share their experiences and update their professional knowledge. The Congress brings together IHMA members plus key decision-makers from the international maritime industry responsible for global port and marine operations.
