overview

Informa Australia is delighted to announce the Decommissioning Offshore Infrastructure Conference, held 25-26 October 2023 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Perth Waterfront.

The liability for decommissioning offshore assets is expected to exceed AU$56 billion over the coming years due to ageing assets and heightened regulations. The Decommissioning Offshore Infrastructure Conference will explore key learnings, rising opportunities and challenges to fast-track remediating offshore assets. This key networking event allows the opportunity for greater transparency and effective collaboration across the sector.

“We are working closely with industry and regulators to progress decommissioning as safely, efficiently, quickly and cost-effectively as possible.”

Federal Minister for Resources Keith Pitt

“A 2021 federal government-backed study estimated the industry must spend $56 billion by 2050 to decommission assets in Australian waters, with half the work starting this decade.”
