Young Professionals rate available // See pricing below

Informa are delighted to bringing Regional Ports back to Newcastle. The 2019 Regional Ports conference will take place at the Newcastle City Hall on the 29 and 30 October 2019.

Australia’s regional ports have witnessed extraordinary growth in the last decade. Across the country, new legislation and financing models are being introduced to maximise the competitiveness of our regional ports, streamline operations and strengthen the economic role of regional ports to meet Australia’s current and potential competitiveness.

The agenda will showcase the latest port developments and assess the policy, planning and operating strategies designed to improve the efficiencies of Australia’s regional ports: gateways for facilitating trade, engagement and regional growth. It will give attendees an understanding of the strategic directions of the major industry players together with an update on developments in technology and planning to ensure efficient, safe and sustainable operations.

Over the coming months, we will announce confirmed speakers from the public and private sectors, which will include high level executives from Australian port operations and customers as well as senior members of government. These speakers will complement technical presentations which will be delivered by a wide range of industry experts.

Topics will include:

  • Market outlook for Australia
  • Regional port operations across Australia
  • Supporting regional port infrastructure and investment
  • Competition and engagement
  • Planning and climate change
  • Role of rail in successful supply chains
  • Future technology, communications systems and software solutions for improved efficiency and optimisation of assets
  • Workforce development and diversity

Share your learnings, case studies and practical solutions with colleagues and customers across industry.

Forward your submission to the Conference Manager, Tina Karas at Submissions should be 200-400 words and contain your full contact details along with a presentation title, theme and main findings.

Deadline: Friday 9 August 2019
