Given the high vaccination rates in NSW and the positive Government guidance on business conferences and events, the SMH Sustainability conference will be held as a face-to-face event at the ICC Sydney on 11 November 2021. The NSW Roadmap allows for indoor business events to run now that we have hit the 70% vaccination rate and fast approaching the 80% mark. We will continue to provide attendees with a safe networking environment following the Informa Connect AllSecure Key Commitments. All attendees must be able to prove that they have had the COVID-19 vaccination in accordance with the NSW Government Roadmap.
The Sydney Morning Herald, in partnership with Informa Australia, will run the second installment of The SMH Sustainability Summit in a face-to-face format on Wednesday, 11 November at the ICC Sydney.
From droughts and flooding rains to the horror bushfire season of 2019/2020, there is no doubt: across Australia, the impacts of climate change are already being felt. And it will only get worse.
All levels of government, companies large and small, investors and citizens demand urgent action.
But how can the world mitigate the worst affects of climate change and limit global warming to 1.5°C?
How can we turn the biggest polluters of the planet into its protectors? Go from carbon neutrality to carbon negativity? Shift from ambition to action?
In this science-focused Summit, sustainability leaders from Australia and abroad will share strident decisions and goals, clear and actionable insights for organisations and governments.
Join us as we connect Australia’s corporate leaders and policymakers to catalyse immediate action now.
