Uncovering the critical forces that will shape the competitive Higher Education landscape in the years ahead.
The Australian Financial Review’s Higher Education Summit returns in August, bringing together the sectors’ most esteemed and exciting thought-leaders and disruptors to discuss the future of higher education in Australia.
With the incisive, independent style it is known for, the summit will once again interrogate prevailing Higher Education policies and practices, and showcase true, transformational innovation from Australia and abroad – all with an eye to uncovering the critical forces that will shape the competitive Higher Education landscape in the years ahead.
In 2018, we field the most influential global perspectives from international guests: How does Australia’s sector currently fit into OECD and globally competitive profiles for ‘efficient’ Higher Ed institutions, and what collaborative and cross-sector partnerships and policy agreements underwrite the success stories?
But we also contribute fine-grained regional and national coverage in a time of new uncertainties: How should we understand the unique opportunities and dependencies of our international student tourism boom? What are the corollaries for student experience, and for a renewed commitment to equitable and high-class tuition, in a changing world? And in a rapidly evolving job market, what are the new approaches to job-readiness for graduates?
The AFR Higher Eduation Awards also returns this year with a diverse complement of judges to honour the most impressive – and often under-the-radar – contributions across ten categories of excellence to the Higher Ed space.
