The 12th Annual Health Congress went for three days with a program that was packed with quality speakers and hot topics discussed and solutions brainstormed and debated upon.

We had the opportunity to speak to David Crosbie, Chief Executive, Mental Health Council of Australia about increasing awareness of mental health in the national health system.

We had the opportunity to interview Steve Sant, CEO, Rural Doctors Association of Australia about improving health care support services in remote and rural areas and the incentives and strategies being used to keep health workers in rural practice.

We had the opportunity to interview Mark Cormack, Chief Executive Officer, Health Workforce Australia about the role of Health Workforce Australia and the new education framework for health professionals.

We had the opportunity to interview Dr Clive Wright, Chief Dental Officer, NSW Health about the impact of dental disease on general health and wellbeing and if there is a need for a universal scheme for access to dental care.

Professor Warwick Anderson AM, CEO, National Health and Medical Research Council, spoke to us about the main health issues today.
