In Partnership with

IIR Conferences, in partnership with the Australian Journal of Mining, has developed a conference and exhibition focussed on waste management in the resources sector. The event will take a holistic focus on all of the consumables and waste products of the resources boom, from lubricants, to tyres, to mine camp rubbish. The event will address ways of managing waste cost effectively, environmentally soundly, in balance with community interests and compliance with regulatory requirements.

A strong focus will be made on innovations around waste minimisation and utilising wastes as feedstocks for producing other products - creating secondary income streams and really challenging the concept of what is "non-economic". Collaborative region-wide and industry-wide frameworks for waste management and an exploration of leading practice approaches to product stewardship will also be featured.
