The RISSB National Rail Turnouts Workshop gives all those involved an in-depth forum for discussion and the sharing of expertise. A key element of this workshop is participation and knowledge sharing from audience as well as the workshop leaders. It is a chance for you to bring your experience and to take away new approaches for best practice.

At last year’s workshop, those present strived to develop and consolidate the relevant knowledge within the industry. In 2010 the program year will be designed to build on this existing knowledge base, and draw on the expertise within the industry to debate innovative solutions to the real challenges faced.

There are many problems arising at the various stages of the design, fabrication, assembly, installation and maintenance asset management planning that cascade down affecting the performance of the turnout.

The workshop will serve as an ideal forum to increase awareness of these key issues and also to disseminate knowledge on the solutions, to both industry veterans, and those who are new to their roles.

This year’s workshop is running immediately after AusRAIL 2010 to allow you the chance to visit the biggest rail event in Australasia whilst also benefiting from this specialist meeting of like-minds.

What’s new and how will this event identify future industry requirements?

New to 2010:
Interactive breakout sessions on design, the maintenance of rail in turnouts and the maintenance of track in turnouts.

Led by expert facilitators, these breakout workshop sessions will be an opportunity to have a more detailed look at the areas of design and the maintenance of rail and track in turnouts. Discover practical skills that can be immediately applied to your current project.

Is there a particular problem or question you’d like addressed during the workshop session? Participants are asked to forward these in advance to tina.karas@informa.com.au and come prepared for discussion and hands-on problem solving.

Consolidate your knowledge with a site tour!
You have the option to visit either a section of PTA WA track or Vossloh Cogifer's Kewdale facility. Site tour numbers are restricted, so please register your site tour option with tina.karas@informa.com.au

A new extended, interactive workshop format.
