The Australian Society for Bulk Solids Handling (ASBSH) and the Australian Bulk Handling Review (ABHR) are pleased to host the inaugural Innovation in Bulk Materials Handling & Processing 2008 conference.
The conference will provide delegates with an overview of all aspects of the design, engineering, automation, operation, maintenance and surveillance of bulk material handling plants. From individual pieces of equipment for transportation, storage, handling and processing to industrial case studies, the conference will feature an update of the latest developments and applications.
Bulk materials are handling across a range of industries and the following key industry segments will be represented:
- Mining, quarrying, energy and power
- Agriculture grains, sugar and dairy
- Paper, woodchipping and forestry
- Shipping, ports, terminals, transport, storage and loading facilites
- Food, beverage and stock feed production
- Pharmacueticals, cosmetics and household products
Thank you to everyone who submitted a conference abstract for consideration. All authors have been notified and the agenda, incorporating these papers and industry case studies is currently being finalised.

The 3rd annual Australian Bulk Handling Awards recognise excellence and achievement in Australias bulk and powder handling sectors. 10 awards will be distributed to the industrys high-flyers over the course of a glittering gala dinner interspersed with entertainment and fun.
The awards categories are:

Awards nominations close on 10th October 2008.
Nominations are sought from all sections of the bulk and powder handling industries. Nomination is simple, requiring a brief write-up and photos. Companies and individuals can nominate themselves, as well as colleagues, peers and associates.
