Challenges for transport project delivery in remote areas: Team Savannah ECI – the Kimberley Experience in delivering major road upgrades in a remote setting

Main Roads WA teamed with AECOM, BGC and Laing O’ Rourke to deliver the construction of three new bridges and upgrading of the Great Northern Highway in the Kimberley. This remote project south of Turkey Creek (Warmun) was delivered as the first Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) alliance style project executed by Main Roads WA and would have presented numerous challenges if it was delivered under traditional contracting methods such as Design and Construct.
