"Victoria was the original Australian mining boom state during the 19th century gold rush and still boasts stong natural gas, coal, mineral sands and base metals production" The Age – September 29, 2011.

Recently there has been a renewed focus on the Victorian mining industry – With excellent heavy mineral endowment, rising gold and mineral prices and the support of state government initiatives there is a push to develop Victoria as a mining state. We are pleased to announce our regional Mining Victoria conference being held on 21-22 March, 2012 in Ballarat, VIC.

The two day program will focus on:

  • The future of Victoria’s resources industry
  • Challenges and opportunities facing miners and explorers in the region
  • Commodity and investment outlooks
  • Supporting government policies and initiatives including the accessibility of world-class geoscience data
  • Case studies of the operations, projects and exploration opportunities in the region

We expect the event will bring together the mining industry from areas of gold, mineral sands, base metals and coal; government bodies; industry analysts and a myriad of other players associated with the advancement of this mining region.
