The 10th Anniversary
Australian Tunnelling Conference

To be held at Doltone House in Sydney from November 29th – December 1st 2010, the program will feature major past, present, and future Australian and international tunnelling projects, highlighting best practice in design, construction and maintenance.

The agenda will centre around key current project updates, announcements on future project developments and interesting case studies. Issues to be explored include planning and design, geotechnical modelling, emerging technologies, unique conditions, commissioning, air quality and ventilation, tunnel repair, fire safety and emergency management. Optional post conference workshops on the 1st December, will provide: Preventative and predictive inspection techniques for concrete tunnel linings & Best practice tunnel emergency planning and response.

    - Presenting an international case study on the challenge of managing tunnel excavation in dense populations and difficult ground conditions - speaking from lessons learned working on California's Silicon Valley Rapid Transit project

    - Speaking about his experiences working on the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link – providing an overview of the project, design and works to date
