With current discussions between the DBCDE, ACMA and industry with regard to the use of radio spectrum licenses, which are due for renewal, Australia is gearing up for 4G mobile broadband technologies.The Department of Broadband is considering auctioning off this spectrum and selling it to the telecommunication carriers who require the spectrum to launch 4G services.
