With widespread dissatisfaction of the current health care system, government and industry alike are calling for reform.
New reports suggest that the number of Australian’s paying for private health insurance is falling. Industry is preparing for more bad news as the economic slowdown, higher unemployment, and impacts of the Medicare levy surcharge are causing many existing policy holders, especially the younger members, not to renew their policies.
So what does the future hold for the industry?
