2nd annual
Innovative Financing
for Higher Education Forum

26-27 November 2009 | Vibe Savoy Melbourne

In an era when investment in knowledge and skills is one of the ultimate determinates of national and individual prosperity, Australia is losing ground against international competitors. Both the world of financing and delivering the facilities and equipment needed to develop and sustain your position, as educators and researchers, has changed.

Government funding is undergoing rapid and complex restructuring, which will drastically alter the financial arrangements that have been in place for decades. This, coupled with the economic repercussions of the global financial crisis, has resulted in a major overhaul of the university funding system. As outlined in the 2009 -10 Federal Budget, university funding will no longer be determined by universal agreements but rather through individual need and merit.
